MONTEGO BAY,  NOVEMBER 20, 2019 - Minister of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries, Audley Shaw, is encouraging farmers to position themselves to take advantage of the expected boom in tourism over the next two years.

NEW YORK,  November 9, 2019 - The International Monetary Fund says Jamaica has successfully concluded its economic reform program, which was supported by a US$1.66 billion Stand-By Arrangement from the IMF. The country’s strong ownership, as well as the government’s steadfast reform implementation have resulted in a stronger economy, an all-time low unemployment rate, and a significant reduction in public debt.

JAMAICA| US revokes the visas of MPs Daryl Vaz and Phillip Paulwell

Havana, Cuba, November 1, 2019:  The People’s National Party’s (PNP) Shadow Minister of Mining and Energy, Phillip Paulwell, has confirmed that he is one of two Jamaican parliamentarians whose United States visa has been revoked. The other MP is Minister without Portfolio in the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation,  Daryl Vaz.
