HAITI | Protesters in Haiti burn businesses in push to oust leader

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (AP) — Thousands of protesters seeking to oust President Jovenel Moise attacked businesses and government buildings across Haiti Friday, creating chaos on the streets after a weeks-long shutdown of vital services that has damaged the country’s ailing economy and shaken the president’s already tenuous position.

PORT-AU-PRINCE, July 23, 2019 - Haiti's President Jovenel Moise on Monday named Fritz-William Michel an executive in the Ministry of Economy and Finance as his fourth prime minister since becoming head of state in 2017, and follows the resignation of his predecessor who failed to win parliamentary approval for his government.
