CARICOM Marks 47th Anniversary of Relations with Cuba

GEORGETOWN,  Guyana, December 9, 2019 - Sunday the eighth of December marked the 47th anniversary of the historic establishment in 1972 of diplomatic relations betgween the Republic of Cuba and  Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago, the four independent Caribbean Community (CARICOM) countries at that time.

DOMINICA | Linton refuses to recognise new Skerrit Gov’t; Wants supporters to “rise up”.

ROSEAU, Dominica, December 8, 2019 - Despite unanimous satisfaction by international observer groups regarding to conduct of the recently held Dominica general elections, Leader of Dominica’s opposition United Workers Party (UWP), Lennox Linton says he will not recognise the new Roosevelt Skerrit government because last Friday’s general elections were rigged and as a result he is demanding fresh elections.

CARICOM | Region to tackle roaming rates

GEORGETOWN,  Guyana, November 11, 2019 - Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Ministers with responsibility for Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have agreed to collectively approach the Region’s telecommunications providers to eliminate roaming charges throughout the Community. This is one of the priorities which they identified as an early benefit with respect to achieving a CARICOM Single ICT Space.
