JAMAICA | Consumer Affairs Commission Launches Mobile App

KINGSTON,  December 12, 2019 - The Consumer Affairs Commission (CAC) has launched a new mobile app, called the CAC Jamaica App, which will allow consumers to compare prices on their phones for products being sold across the island at businesses registered with the government agency.

NEW YORK,  November 9, 2019 - The International Monetary Fund says Jamaica has successfully concluded its economic reform program, which was supported by a US$1.66 billion Stand-By Arrangement from the IMF. The country’s strong ownership, as well as the government’s steadfast reform implementation have resulted in a stronger economy, an all-time low unemployment rate, and a significant reduction in public debt.
