JAMAICA | PNP talks with Chinese Company may bring reward for Jamaican workers

KINGSTON, Jamaica, November 18, 2018: Shadow Minister of Mining and Energy,  Phillip Paulwell  has told  the Public Administration and Appropriations Committee (PAAC) that the Chinese company  Jiuguan Iron and Steel (Group) Company Limited (JISCO), has reiterated a commitment that more job opportunities in its mining operations will be afforded to Jamaican workers over their Chinese counterparts at the Alpart plant based in St Elizabeth.

JAMAICA | China Provides US$36 Million to Build Western Ja's Children’s Hospital

KINGSTON, Jamaica October 19, 2018 - The proposed Children's and Adoloscent Hospital for Western Jamaica, first envisioned by former prime minister Portia Simpson-Miller,  has been funded to the tune of  approximately US$36.16 million (250 million RMB Yuan) from the Government of the People’s Republic of China.
