China decided to impose reciprocal sanctions on some U.S. administration officials who it said have behaved badly over issues relating to China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and Taiwan.

This announcement was made by  Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said Monday at a daily press briefing.

The move came amid fresh U.S. sanctions against Chinese officials over Hong Kong issues and U.S. officials lifting limits on interactions with the Taiwan region, acts China regards as blatant inference in China's internal affairs.

Without detailing the content of the measures, China´s Foreign Ministry said these sanctions will affect US State´s members, congressmen and representatives of non-governmental organizations, as well as their relatives.
