GUYANA | High Court throws out second opposition election petition

GEORGETOWN, Guyana April 26, 2021 - Chief Justice Roxane George-Wiltshire on Monday dismissed the pro-opposition election petition against the 2020 March, 2020 general elections, saying that  the Recount Order 60 and the relevant laws that were used were constitutional and legal.

GUYANA | Chief Justice to rule today in final Election Petition case # 88

GEORGETOWN, Guyana, April 26, 2021 - Guyana’s APNU/AFC Opposition Coalition's final opportunity to have the August 2, 2020 election overturned, will come up in the High Court today, when the Chief Justice is expected to rule as to the validity of Election Petition No. 88, challenging the validity of the National Recount Order by the Elections Commission and the declaration of the final results using that order.
