ANTIGUA | Browne shares Plan with Mottley, Gonsalves in last-ditch effort to save LIAT
ST. JOHNS, Antigua, July 20, 2020 - In a last-ditch effort to save the cash strapped regional airline LIAT from liquidation, Antigua and Barbuda’s prime minister Gaston Browne was today expected to meet with two of the airlines largest shareholders, Barbados and St. Vincent and the Grenadines, where he is expected to pitch his newly minted plan to save the airline that calls for the injection of US$40M in new equity.
