JAMAICA | Holness threatens shutdown if COVID-19 cases continue to rise

KINGSTON, March 8, 2021 - Prime Minister Andrew Holness is threatening a shutdown of the country if the number of persons who continue to be affected by COVID-19 continue to rise much further than the 878 persons who were today confirmed positive over the past 24 hours.

JAMAICA | With record COVID-19 cases, Holness tightens curfew hours

KINGSTON, February 9, 2021 – In light of the record increase in the number of persons testing positive for the  SARS Cov2 virus in Jamaica over the past few days, prime minister Andrew Holness has announced that starting Wednesday  February 10, the islandwide curfew will begin at 8:00 pm nightly and end at 5:00 am.
