Jamaica In Dialogue With Key Tourism Partners

KINGSTON, March 24, 2020 - Minister of Tourism, Hon. Edmund Bartlett, says the Global Tourism Resilience and Crisis Management Centre (GTRCM) will be charged with driving the recovery of tourism in Jamaica and elsewhere in the region post COVID-19.

JAMAICA | Port Royal Welcomes First Cruise Ship

KINGSTON, January 21, 2020 - The historic town of Port Royal, in Kingston, welcomed its first cruise ship, the Marella Discovery II, on Monday, at the newly constructed Port Royal Cruise Port, constructed by the Port Authority of Jamaica (PAJ), in an effort to expand cruise tourism to Kingston.

JAMAICA | Tourist Industry Earns US$500 Million More Than Last Year

KINGSTON, Jamaica, January 17, 2020- Tourism Minister Edmond Bartlett, says preliminary report from the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) is showing that in 2019, the sector earned between US$3.7 billion and US$3.8 billion, some US$500 million more than in 2018.
