JAMAICA | Holness laments the extent of violent crimes affecting Jamaica

KINGSTON, January 10, 2019 - Prime Minister Andrew Holness is clearly not pleased that he is not receiving support from the opposition PNP to extend the states of emergency in Kingston, St. Catherine and St. James, two of which have already expired and the third, St. James which will expire on January 31.

JAMAICA | Holness playing Politics with National Security says PNP

KINGSTON, Jamaica. December 31, 2018: Opposition Leader and People’s National Party (PNP) President Dr. Peter Phillips has responded to a statement from Prime Minister Andrew Holness which indicated that a meeting with the Opposition would be a waste of time "given the negative response of the Opposition Leader to his letter of invitation to discuss the states of emergency."
