Ramotar to announce decision on elections tomorrow

GEORGETOWN, Guyana (CMC) December 5, 2014  — President Donald Ramotar will tomorrow announce what position he intends to follow after the Opposition rejected his invitation for dialogue on the deteriorating political environment in the country, a senior government official has said.

Guyana's Speaker of the House, the AFC's Rafael Trotman says his country now faces a constitutional crisis. This is because the Clerk of the National Assembly, Sherlock Isaacs has refused to convene Parliament on the basis that only the government can instruct when that should be done.
