Israel announced Tuesday it will consult with the United States government over a decision by home-renting company AirBnB Inc. to remove listings in illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank.
An unprecedented joint statement has been issued by dozens of Jewish groups in several countries offering their support to the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement. They affirmed that their condemnation of the Israeli state does not amount to antisemitism.
The Socialist International, or SI, has endorsed the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement in their call for the rights of Palestinian people. In doing so, the organization, which is a global alliance of 140 political parties, as well as 35 parties currently in national governments, urged for a military embargo to be imposed against Israel until it ceases its violations against the Palestinian people.
The Ireland senate approved the Occupied Territories Bill, which bans all trade with illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, Wednesday. The Irish government opposed the legislation, but 25 independent and opposition lawmakers secured its approval.
