CARICOM Bemoans the Escalation of Violence in Venezuela

GEORGETOWN,Guyana, May 3, 2019 - The Caribbean Community has noted with concern the turn of events in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the potential they hold for the escalation of the political crisis and further violence to the detriment of the people of the country.

KINGSTON, April 18, 2019 - Despite double-speak, denials and obfuscation by the country’s foreign affairs and foreign trade minister Senator Kamina Johnson-Smith, Jamaica’s support for the self-proclaimed ‘interim president’ of Venezuela Juan Guido’s designated appointee Gustavo Tarre as its permanent representative to the Organization of American States (OAS), severely undermines the credibility of the leadership of the Andrew Holness led administration and our country’s reputation in the eyes of the world.

JAMAICA | Gov't explains vote for Guaido's nominee at OAS
