Pope Francis Sends Message to Chile, Peru

Lima, Jan 11 (Prensa Latina) Pope Francis has sent a message to Chile and Peru in a three-minute video, on the occasion of his four-day visit to both countries as of January 15.
'I am coming to you as a pilgrim and share the Gospel's message of hope and joy,' said the Supreme Pontiff, who also referred to his closeness to the two nations whose stories 'were forged with determination and delivery'.

He added that he wishes to share 'your joys, sorrows, difficulties and hopes, and to tell you that you are not alone, the Pope is with you, the whole Church welcomes you, the Church looks at you' and then he asked as always that they do not forget to pray for him.

The Holy Father will be in Chile from January 15 to 18, where he will visit the cities of Santiago, Temuco and Iquique, and then will move to Peru from January 18 to 21, to visit the capital Lima, Puerto Maldonado and Trujillo.

Peruvian authorities presented yesterday to the press and public the popemobile that Pope Francis will use during his stay here.
