GUYANA | Granger says GECOM could have a new Chairman by Monday If.......

GEORGETOWN, Guyana, July 13, 2019 - The Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM), could have a new chairman as early as Monday if the Opposition is prepared to act in good faith. This is the word from President David Granger on Friday, as he addressed the nation following the Caribbean Court of Justice’s (CCJ) consequential orders.

CARICOM urges US to maintain duty-free market access

GEORGETOWN, Guyana, April 30, 2019 - CARICOM Secretary-General, Ambassador Irwin LaRocque has expressed CARICOM’s interest in the renewal of legislation for the extension of the Caribbean Basin Trade Partnership Act (CBTPA) and the WTO waiver beyond December 2019 to allow continued duty-free access to the US market.
