Jamaican Students Sue US Hotels for Trafficking

CLINTON, Oklahoma, Law360  June 18, 2018, - Jamaican students who arrived in the U.S. on J-1 exchange visitor visas to work at aHoliday Inn Expressand a Hampton Inn sued their hosts in Oklahoma federal court Friday.

Human Traffickers to be Tried by Judge Alone

KINGSTON, May 9, 2016- Persons charged with human trafficking in Jamaica will soon be tried without a jury. This is the word from Minister of Justice, Delroy Chuck, at the launch of ‘Operation Uplift’, a new strategy to fight human trafficking in Jamaica, at the Police Officers’ Club.

USAID Joins JCF to Highlight Human Trafficking

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), through the Fi Wi Jamaica Project, has joined the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) to sensitize 1,000 persons about trafficking in persons over the next year.
