Trinidad deports 15 illegal Ghanaian migrants

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad December 8, 2014 - After failing to convince the Trinidad and Tobago Court of appeal why they should remain in the country, fifteen illegal Ghanain migrants were deported yesterday by the Government of Trinidad and Tobago via a chartered  Caribbean Airlines (CAL) plane at a cost of $2.6 million dollars

Trinidad to crack down on illegal immigrants starting in November.

The Trinidad Express Newspaper is reporting that the Government of Trinidad and Tobago plans to institute a three-month immigrant amnesty beginning in November. The amnesty is aimed at allowing the approximately 110,000 illegal immigrants to regularise their immigration status in Trinidad and Tobago.

Nicholson invited to Trinidad for talks on treatment of Jamaicans

KINGSTON, Jamaica October 16, 2014  - Trinidad and Tobago's National Security Minister Gary Griffith has invited Jamaica's Foreign Affairs Minister Senator A J Nicholson and Opposition Spokesman on Foreign Affairs, Edmund Bartlett to hold discussions on the denial of  entry to 13 Jamaicans  two weeks ago to Trinidad.
