GUYANA to host international robotics competition in 2019

Guyana is to host the International Youth Robotics Competition (IYRC) league pre-qualifier competition in in 2019, STEMGuyana said Sunday, following an agreement with the International Youth Robot Association to be the prequalifying body responsible for organizing the annual qualifier national robot competition among Guyanese primary and secondary school-aged student-teams to represent Guyana at the International Youth Robotics Competition.

GUYANA | Exxon’s second exploration vessel scheduled to arrive in Guyana in October

Georgetown, Guyana – September 12, 2018 -  ExxonMobil is bringing to Guyana, a second exploration vessel, the Noble Tom Madden, which is due to arrive in October. This vessel will focus primarily on exploration of high potential areas and will commence drilling at the ‘Pluma’ prospect approximately 17 miles or 27 kilometres from Turbot well.
