CARICOM Chairman wants closer collaboration among regional law enforcement agencies

PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad and Tobago,  May 4, 2019 -   CARICOM heads are paying more attention to the Region's security and chairman, Dr. Timothy Harris, wants closer collaboration among the region's law enforcement agencies, including those tasked with border security on land and sea to deal with the “significant threats to security” across the Caribbean.

CARICOM urges US to maintain duty-free market access

GEORGETOWN, Guyana, April 30, 2019 - CARICOM Secretary-General, Ambassador Irwin LaRocque has expressed CARICOM’s interest in the renewal of legislation for the extension of the Caribbean Basin Trade Partnership Act (CBTPA) and the WTO waiver beyond December 2019 to allow continued duty-free access to the US market.
